DENTAL CROWNS AND BRIDGES

DENTAL CROWNS AND BRIDGES

Are some of your teeth showing signs of decay? Do you need to repair a broken tooth or whiten your damaged teeth? Dental crowns may be the answer. A dental crown is a cap placed over your tooth to protect it from further decay or improve the look of your tooth. Dental bridges can also fill in the gap of a missing tooth with a crown. We offer many different types of crowns.

What Are The Steps To Getting A Dental Crown?

The placement of a dental crown is done in just two visits to the dentist. At the first visit, the dentist will examine your tooth. Your tooth will then be prepped and fitted for crown placement, and the permanent crown will be ordered. Until the permanent crown arrives, you will be given a temporary crown in its place.

Once the permanent crown arrives, you will come for your second visit. The permanent crown will be placed over your tooth in place of the temporary crown.

Cerec Crowns

If you are looking for a one-visit appointment to get a dental crown, you may consider CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) Crowns. With the technology provided in our office, we can place a CEREC crown in only one appointment. There are also other advantages to choosing the CEREC Crown. These crowns are made of one of the strongest materials that we offer. These crowns can also be color-matched to the rest of your teeth for a more natural look.

Bridges

Bridges can restore your smile and your ability to chew or speak properly. Dental bridges bridge the gap between two existing teeth left when a tooth is extracted or falls out. A bridge comprises two crowns, one on each side of the gap, and these teeth act as abutments. A false tooth can be placed in the middle where the gap is. Natural teeth or dental implants can support dental bridges. Traditionally, bridges are made of porcelain fused with ceramics or metal.
